5 Big Names Proposed for Education Cabinet Secretary in Ruto’s Cabinet

After swearing in of President William Ruto  focus now shifts to the possible line up of Cabinet Secretaries in his government.

In the ministry of education, 5 big names have been listed as suitable replacements for professor George Magoha who is currently serving as the cabinet secretary Ministry of Education.

Nicholas Maiyo has asked President William Ruto to retain Magoha for his zeal.

Maiyo further argued that the education system is in the transition process hence the need to have Prof Magoha around.

Dr Belio Kipsang, former PS for Early Basic Education, has been proposed for the position as well.

He served as a PS when the country was changing to the Competency Based Curriculum.

Ms Nancy Macharia TSC CEO has also been mentioned as another possible contender for the position considering that she is serving her last term as CEO teacher service commission.

Wilson Sossion former Kenya National Union of Teachers Secretary General secretary is among the possible contenders for the CS position.

However, his firebrand union politics put him at loggerheads with Education officials and TSC.

Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi, the PS in charge of State Department for University Education and Research is also in the list of contenders.
