Two pre-school children remain in a critical condition after a knife attack in Annecy on Thursday, the French government says
Four children, including one Briton and one Dutch child, and two adults were injured in the attack in a park on Thursday morning
Previously, the mayor of Annecy, an alpine town in south-eastern France, had said the four children were in a stable condition
The attacker, who was shot and then arrested, is a Syrian man aged 31 with refugee status in Sweden
There is no evidence of a terrorist motivation, French authorities say
French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in the city of Grenoble, where some of the children are being treated in Hospital.
The morning after yesterday’s attack, some residents of Annecy have headed to the playground to pay their respects.
Flowers, candles, notes and teddy bears have been left at the side of the area where four children were stabbed – some in their pushchairs.
