KUCCPS Releases KMTC Placement Results, How To Check
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service has released the results of the second Kenya Medical Training College course application.
In a public notice on Tuesday, they said the applicants had already been notified of the results through an SMS.
They also issued a guideline on how the applicants could view their results.
“The results of the second KMTC application are out. Please log in to your portal via http://students.kuccps.net to check the status of your application. Applicants have been notified by SMS,” they said.
On September 12, KUCCPS opened its portal for students who missed out on KMTC placement.
The placement service noted that it will be conducting a revision of choices for students who applied for KMTC courses under KUCCPS.
It added that the application process is free of charge and the revision period will take place from September 12 to 16.
Students have been urged to visit the KUUCPS portal; http://kuccps.ac.ke for more information.
According to KUCCPS CEO Mercy Wahome, the service portal received applications up to August 4.
During the period, KUCCPS received 42,000 applications, with each applicant paying Sh2,000 for the process that would lead to placement to the 42 KMTC campuses spread across the country.
With KMTC’s student capacity at 11,000, some 32,000 students were to miss chances.
Wahome said the KUCCPS portal had 30 Kenya Medical Training programmes available for application.
With the entry of KMTC into the KUCCPS fold, the placement service was to place students in degree, diploma, certificate and artisan courses in 289 public training institutions and 30 private universities in Kenya.
The placement service noted that the application was targeting individuals who completed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination from the year 2013 to 2022.
“The programmes which are at diploma and certificate levels, include community health nursing, mental health and psychiatry, midwifery, radiography and imaging, medical laboratory sciences, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy and public health, among others,” Wahome said.
