Uasin Gishu County Governor Reshuffles Top Executives
- In Uasin Gishu county, Governor Bii reshuffles the county’s top officials.
In an unexpected decision, Governor Jonathan Bii reorganized his cabinet in Uasin Gishu and transferred four senior officers.
Sammy Kotut, a personal friend of his, is one of them. He has transferred him from the lucrative Health docket to the less distinguished Water and Environment ministry.
Abraham Serem, another of the governor’s close associates, took Kotut’s post.
Anthony Sitienei, a Lands executive, has switched places with Education executive Janet Kosgei.
Paul Wangwe, the Chief Officer for the lucrative Clinical section in the Health docket, was also impacted by the restructuring because he switched places with Joyce Sang, the Director of Preventive and Promotive Health Services.
The transfer order for the executives in the long-rumored changes was signed by Bii.
When Bii was running for office, Kotut and Serem both had a significant impact on the outcome of the election.
The modifications came a day after Bii instructed his officials to operate exclusively within the county and halted their travel in order to better serve citizens.
“We must make sure that we fulfill our obligations and properly serve the Uasin Gishu population. There is no longer any time for lingering, according to Bii.
