To instantly receive the 2023 KCSE results by SMS, send an SMS with your full KCSE 2023 Index Number to 20076 for Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom networks.
Just type and send your full index number (11 digits) followed by KCSE to KNEC SMS Code 20076.
For example, 43427847034KCSE then send to 20076.
You will receive an SMS with the results showing your index number, name, school, performance in each subject, aggregate points and mean grade.

It is easy. The Ministry of Education has developed a simple online portal for downloading the KCSE results. All that you need is your KCSE 2023 index number and name.
Here are the simple steps that you are required to follow to download 2023 KCSE result quickly;
Step 1: KEMIS portal by using this link: http://kemis.education.go.ke/.
Step 2: Then, click on 2023 KCSE Results; Check KCSE Results.
Step 3: After one week, enter your KCSE 2023 Index number (11 digits) and Name as used during KCSE 2023 registration.
Step 4: Finally, click on the ‘Search’ button.If you receive an error message then the entered details are incorrect, simply ignore and click on ‘search’ again.
2023 candidates will be graded based on the new grading system.
