Riara Springs Girls’ High School 2023 KCSE Exams Performance
115 of the total 122 candidates who sat for 2023 KCSE have managed to score a C+ and above.
Riara Springs Girls’ High School (RSGHS) was founded in 2000 with the ultimate aim of empowering the girl-child (ages of 14-18) in an environment which seeks to foster self-confidence, self-reliance and independence.
The school focuses on holistic education with deliberate structures put in place to cultivate the student’s intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and physical development.
Girls are encouraged to become critical thinkers, innovators and decision makers.
In 2023 KCSE Exams, 115 of the total 122 candidates who sat for test at Riara Springs Girls’ High School have scored grade C+ and above.
With this performance, the school is ranked among the top-tier schools in Kenya’s secondary education.
The performance defied expectations and surpassed the national average whose figures, as announced by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu on Monday morning, showed that boys outperformed girls as top performers.
Riara Springs posted 1 plain A, 19 A- (minus), 31 B+ (plus), and 27 B (plain). 22 others scooped B- (minus) while 15 got C+ (plus), all of whom secured direct slots at institutions of higher learning.
As a result, Riara Springs Girls High School posted an improved mean grade of 8.96 up from the previous year’s 8.3.
Tiffany Wanjiru Maina was the trailblazer, topping this year’s class with a straight A and was among 391 leading girls nationally.
While releasing the results in Eldoret, Machogu indicated that 201,133 candidates, representing 22.27 per cent, scored C+ and above and will be eligible for direct entry to the university.
In the recently released KCPE examination result, the high school’s sister primary, Riara Springs Academy, produced the top candidate nationally.
Michael Warutere, who aspires to pursue a career in Software Engineering scooped the exam’s best mark of 428.
“I really thank God for the marks that he has granted me. I want to thank our parents and teachers for holding our hands and helping us succeed,” the candidate celebrated at the time.
“I would love to attend Mang’u High School. Hopefully, with these marks, I will get a seat in that school,” he added.
Riara Springs Academy and Riara Springs Girls’ High School are schools under the umbrella, of Riara Group of Schools (RGS), founded by renowned scholars Mr. Daniel and Dr. Eddah Gachukia.
