List of county commissioners transfered in the new changes
Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary kithure Kindiki has announced the transfer of 12 county commissioners in a raft of changes in the security docket.
In a statement on Thursday, January 25, CS Kindiki said the redeployment of the officers is aimed at enhancing service delivery within the national government.
The changes take effect on February 1, 2024.
In the new changes, Mombasa County Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa has been moved to Nyandarua while his Tana River counterpart Mohamed Nur has been redeployed to Mombasa.

Kitui’s Erastus Mbui moves to Laikipia while his Kiambu counterpart Joshua Nkanatha heads to Murang’a.Turkana County Commissioner Jacob Ouma has been transferred to Meru while Henry Wafula of Samburu has been redeployed to Makueni.
Kipchumba Rutto of Busia moves to Kitui while Nyamira’s Onesmus Kyatha heads to Samburu.
Additionally, Nairobi County Commissioner Susan Waweru has also been affected and will now move to Siaya. West Poko’s Apollo Okello has been appointed Personal Assistant for Rift Valley Regional Commissioner.Hirma Kahito has been moved from the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Nairobi to Kwale while Murang’a County Commissioner Patrick Mukuria has been transferred to Kisii.
Kindiki recalled five county commissioners to the ministry’s headquarters.
Those affected include Nyandarua County Commissioner Mohamed Barre who has been appointed Secretary, Peace Building.
Others are Joseph Kanyiri (Laikipia), Isaac Masinde (Narok), Tom Anjere (Tom Anjere), and Jude Wesonga (Kajiado).
Further, Njenga Miiri has been appointed Principal Administrative Secretary, Internal Security, while Jacob Narengo takes over as Secretary, Internal Security.
12 deputy county commissioners have also been elevated to county commissioners.
They are David Koskei (Tana River), Mohamed Ramadhani (Garissa), Julius Kavita (Turkana), Khalif Abdillahi (West Pokot), Reuben Lotiatia (Narok), James Taari (Kajiado), Mwangi Meru (Kakamega), Mwachaunga
Chaunga (Busia), Benson Leparmorijo (Kisumu), Duncan Darusi (Kiambu), John Cheruiyot (Nyamira) and David Wanyonyi (Nairobi).
