The teacher Service Commission has introduced new rules for filling Tpads. The commission has clearly outlined mandatory documents that a teacher must upload when filling Tpads, unlike the previous years.
TSC introduced this tool at a time when teachers were hungry for salary increments to assess the performance of teachers in line with the standards laid down by the Commission. TPAD was introduced to the teaching profession to monitor, review, and improve on the current standards of teaching through an appraisal system that is gradual and systematic.
Teachers evaluate themselves where they give all that is essential. In the process, a teacher is required to upload relevant documents to verify evidence per category which most teachers ignore.
The introduction of mandatory items to upload by the Commission is to ensure that every teacher provides evidence per item filled in the Tpad. According to TSC, a teacher must upload the following documents;
1. Teachers’ certificates
2. Certified Documents from school administrators.
This move is meant to ease the audit process of knowing who did not participate in the exercise beforehand, and why.
Therefore teachers are required to start filling their Tpads as early as possible at the of the term and assemble all the required documents to upload as verifiable evidences.
