List Of 43Teachers Deregistered By TSC And Reasons For Their Dismissal
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) deregistered 43 teachers due to indiscipline cases.
A gazette notice dated Friday, October 22, TSC Cheif Executive Officer Dr Nancy Macharia has affirmed that the names of 43 teachers listed herein would cease service from now henceforth.
The commission has exercised the powers conferred by section 30 of the TSC Act and has notified the public that the 43 teachers whose names appear herein have been removed from the TSC register. Part of the notice read.
According to the gazette notice, TSC determined the case on September 2021. The CEO stayed that the teachers can only be reinstated by the directive of the commission.
TSC warned schools against employing any teacher who is not registered by the Commission and failure to comply the school will be guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of more than Ksh 100,000 or improvements for at most two years or both.
The TSC act states that no person shall engage in the teaching service unless such a person is registered as a teacher under this Act, added the notice.
The most recent disciplinary action TSC has taken against teachers was on May 2021 when the commission dismissed 52 teachers over indiscipline.
Indiscipline cases on learners were raised against some of these teachers and were issued with notice letters between September 14 and 25, 2020.
Additionally, 71 teachers were deregistered in 2017 and 2018 over various offences.
