A top 2022 presidential candidate withdraws from the race after wide consultation from his advisers.
William Kabogo, former Kiambu governor has withdrawn from the presidential race after careful consideration.
In an interview with one of the news houses, Kabogo said that his decision was influenced by what the ground and his supporters told him.
Kabogo reported that he reached the decision after thorough consultations and soul searching. He further said his supporters convinced him to withdraw from the race it seems a two-horse race between ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
He stated that he is not interested in running a losing battle that will end up wasting his time and resources.
The 2022 general elections seem to be a two-man horse race between Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and former Prime Minister and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and Raila Odinga have officially announced their ambitions for the presidential seat in the 2022 general election and are currently visiting all regions across the country to hunt for votes.
Recently the polls which were conducted suggested that the 2022 presidency is a race between two candidates that is Raila and Ruto for what it takes in terms of influence and support from all regions in the country.
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has also confirmed that no Candidate has the power to beat Raila and Ruto.
