Sad News: Kisumu Boys Principal Dies.
The teaching fraternity and Kisimu Boys fraternity have been thrown into mourning due to the sudden death of their principal Mr Peter Obwogo.
Professor Anyang Nyong’o mourns the demise of Kisumu boys principal Mr Peter Obwogo. He says that he will remember the deceased as a resourceful person and a professional in the education sector.
He noted that the late principal has been an outstanding professional who has steered Kisumu Boys High School to greater heights in the national academic excellence. The Governor has consoled with the Kisumu boys fraternity and the family of the late Obwogo following his demise.
The Kisimu Governor further added that since the late Peter Obwogo was posted to the school he has worked tirelessly to maintain the school’s standards and academic performance in the national ratings. Indeed he will be missed greatly by many.
By extension, in a statement, the governor expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, Kisumu boys fraternity, friends and Headteachers association (KESSHA) on behalf of the people of the great Kisumu county.
The death of Peter Obwogo at Agah Khan Hospital in Kisumu was confirmed today by the chair board of management of Kisumu boys.
Charles Nyakiti chairman board of management Kisumu boys high school noted that the loss of the principal Obwogo has left a gap in the school and in the education sector at large.
The education sector and we Kisumu boys fraternity have lost a great teacher, leader and a manager, the board chair added.
By the time of his death, Principal Obwogo had declared his interest to join politics and run for Matayos Parliamentary seat using ODM ticket.
The late Peter Obwogo had served in the teaching profession or education sector for more than thirty five (35) years.
This is indeed bad news to teaching fraternity and the relatives of Mr Obwogo.
