A Big Win For Teachers As MPs Aprove Budget To Employ More Teachers.
The government has made a big announcement in the education sector after Members of Parliament approve a budget for the employment of more teachers.
Teachers service Commission (TSC) has been urging Parliament to allocate more money for hiring of enough Teachers so as to address of shortage of teachers which poses a challenge on 100% transition government policy.
Teachers Service Commission has revealed that the current Teacher shortage stands at over 100, 000 with the upcoming junior secondary school likely to worsen the situation.
Unemployed Teachers now have reason to be optimistic of securing a job in the next employment since more teachers are going to be recruited following Parliament budget approval.
Report has it that the tNational assembly’s Budget and appropriation Committee has approved Ksh 2.5 Billion to employ 5000 new Teachers.
The announcement is good news for unemployed teachers wishing to work with the government under permanent and pensionable terms.
Currently several shortlisted teachers in the January advertised replacement vacancies are attending interviews.
