Schools To Close Early To Allow Candidates Prepare For KCPE and KCSE, Here Is The Date When Schools Will Close.
The Ministry of Education CS professor George Magoha has directed all schools to close early to give KCPE and KCSE candidates humble time to prepare for the national examinations.
Under the leadership of professor George Magoha, the the Ministry of Education has been working round the clock to ensure that learning institutions in the country are well managed to provide a condusive environment that is comfortable for learners to acquire knowledge and skills they require in future.
The calendar for 2022 is unique because in the course of the year there will be four terms unlike other years. In this year also have fivenational examinations will be conducted.
The current form fours are expected to begin their examination in April this year while the current form three learners will be sitting for their exams in December.
On the other hand, standard eight pupils are also set to sit for their exams from next month, March 2022 while class six students will be expected to also do their exams the same time.
Following this tight schedule in the academic calendar, the Ministry of Education has clarified on official closing dates for non candidate classes to pave way for enough preparation for national exams.
The Ministry has maintained that all schools should close in three weeks time in order to pave way for adequate preparation.
Class 8 students will begin their exams on 7th through 10th of March while form four candidates are expected to begin on 11th of March, 2022.
The non-candidates students and teachers are expected start their holidays early as the leave candidates to prepare for the national examinations.
In case of boarding schools, the head teacher, and deputies and boarding teachers are required to remain with the candidates as others start their holidays.
Science teachers will be required to make technical appearance to prepare for the practicals before theateri day.
