A Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officer has been arrested and taken into police custody, for allegedly defiling a minor in bush near Langas, Uasin Gishu County.
According to the police statements which was recorded in Langas police station, the accused officer is said to have defiled the alleged 12 years old girl repeatedly in the bush.
Report indicates that the officer arresting the girl for allegedly violating Covid 19 protocols and the went ahead to defile her in a bush near Langas.
In an interrogation session, the officer admitted to have arrested tbe minor for not wearing a mask on that particular day.
“The officer is said to have handcuffed the student for not wearing a mask but instead of taking him to the police station for booking, he diverted her to open field where he defiled her several times, before forcing her to suck his manhood.” The police officer stationed at Uasin-Gishu town reported.
According to the girl’s mother, her daughter went missing at around 3 o’clock in the evening, after coming back from school. She waited for the girl to come back home that evening, but she didn’t. She went around looking for her for many hours, but the whole search went in vain.
After long search, she received the news that the girl was seen at around police station. The mother walked to police station accompanied by her friends and close relatives, where they found her daughter with the alleged officer.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) at Uasin-Gishu county said the suspect was arrested on Sunday afternoon following the Saturday incident.
“The minor who went home at around 7:30pm last night, told her worried mother that she had reported home late because she had been held hostage by a man who took advantage of her,” the DCI said in a report issued on Sunday.
“Upon further interrogation, the mother noticed blood stains on her daughter’s undergarments and pleaded with her to reveal the identity of the perpetrator,” added the report.
The suspect is further said to have fled to an estate within Eldoret town, where he was nabbed by detectives and positively identified by the class seven pupil after a digital and cyber forensics tracing operation.
The arrested KDF has taken into police custody where he awaits to be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
