Students Caught With Phones Before Exams
Two students in Nairobi were found in possession of mobile phones few minutes before the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations could officialy kick off.
However, Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Education Professor George Magoha has pardoned the two students and have permitted them to Carry on with their Examinations.
Professor George Magoha while speaking in Mombasa County where he was presiding over the opening of the Examination papers said that the two candidates would still do their exams and have urged all candidates to focus on their exams and shun any form of cheating.
Professor George Magoha further warned all teachers, center mangers and exam officials against taking part in any form of exam malpractice emphazising that any one caught will face dire consequences.
On the other hand Chief Executive Officer Teachers Service Commission said that teachers who attended will be manning or administering the KCSE exams underwent thorough vetting to ensure credibility of the Examination. A total of 70,486 teachers will be administering the exams.
