Ministry of Education Has Advertised The Following Positions for Teachers Empoyed by TSC; Check Qualifications and Deadline
The Ministry of Education has Advertised one hundred and fifteen (115) positions for Principal Quality Assurance and Standards Officer personnel who will enable the State Department for Early Learning and Basic Education to implement various reforms being undertaken in the education sector effectively and efficiently.
The ministry has invited all teachers who are employed by teacher service commission and meet the minimum requirements to apply for the vacancies through an advertisement on local dailies. The Principal Quality Assurance and Standard positions to be filled are categorised as Grade CSG8s.
Duties and Responsibilities that will be undertaken by the successful candidates include:
✓ Planning and carrying out assessments on quality assurance and standards
✓ Advising education boards on the education matters and standards
✓ Disseminating quality assurance and standards assessments reports to various educational institutions.
✓ Coordinating school programs and activities.
✓ Organising pedagogical skills upgrading programs for teachers
✓ Organising and coordinating co-curricular activities
✓ Determining the Education Quality Index and guiding, advising and appraising officers under their supervision.
Qualifications or Requirements
✓ One must have been serving as a Senior Graduate Teacher for three years atleast
✓ Alternatively one must have served as Alternate Teacher in Job Group ‘M’
✓ One must have a degree in Bachelor of Education from a university or higher learning institution that is recognized
✓ An equivalent to degree in Bachelor of education is a degree in bachelor of Arts or Science with Education.
✓ Another Alternative is Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognised institution.
✓ An applicant must have a Certificate in Computer Application Skills and must have shown merit and ability as reflected in performance and results.
