Education CS Professor George Magoha Names Counties Leading In Examination Malpractices.
The Ministry of education Cabinet Secretary professor George Magoha has today named top three counties in examinations malpractices as the Kenya certificate of secondary education (KCSE) as week 2 day three examinations are completed on 16th Wednesday 2022.
Across the country cases of Irregularities have been reported with three counties on spot for leading in cases of examination malpractices.
Education Cabinet secretry Professor George magoha has revealed the identities of the top three counties in cheating namely Kisii, Nairobi and Garisa.
According to Magoha the lifting of the ban on the use of Masks as a Covid-19 containment measure has led to the upsurge of cheating cases in the 2021 KCSE examination.
Magoha has urged Teachers involved in supervision and invigilation of the ongoing examination to remain vigilant by ensuring that even the toilet areas aren’t used to cheat in Exams.
He gave an incident where on today Wednesday two Teachers were cought discussing a Chemistry paper 2 (233/2) in Tharaka Nithi whereby one of them said teacher scored an E in the subject.
“One of the teachers said he scored E in chemistry but what was he doing with the paper?”. He wondered.
With the ministry of education and KNEC having introduced stricter measures to curb irregularities, it remains a matter of concern in the country whether the vice will be totally eradicated.
