Examiners: We Have Done Our Part
The examiners who were contracted by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to mark 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations have completed the marking process.
The examiners have stated that they have done their professional without a lot of integrity and now the remaining part will be comp by involved education stakeholders.
“Marking was fair. We had a human face when doing the national exercise”, One of the examiner told News Daily Media Team.
The Grading and public announcement of the 2021 KCSE examination now remains solely with the ministry of education and other involved stakeholders.
Early Prof George Magoha, the Education Cabinet Secretary, assured the public that this year’s KCSE marking exercise will follow tight and meticulous rules to ensure exam integrity.
The majority of examiners have stated that they followed this since the strictness prevented them from leaving the marking centers while the exercise was on.
The marking exercise was held in 35 marking centers including secondary schools and institutions as given in the list below :

KCSE candidates will begin enrolling in universities as early as June this year, according to University Education and Research Principal Secretary Simon Nabukwesi.
Entry into vocational institutions, according to Mr Nabukwesi, would begin in September
Those enrolling in TVET institutes will do so in September, he added.
