CS Magoha Issues Deadline For Form One Admission
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has told School Principals that May 10 is going to be the last day of Form One admission in schools across the country. Those students reporting after the said date will be denied the chance to join respective schools they had been placed by the ministry.
The CS urged Principals to admit all students placed in their school regardless of them reporting with neither school fees nor uniforms to allow parents take their children to school.
He further directed that school should ensure that students join Form One despite the high number of 2021 KCPE candidates seeking admissions in secondary schools. Principals had earlier decried the high number of learners that would lead to congestion of school facilities, pushing them to the brink of collapse.
“I want to make it clear to Principals under my watch; no Kenyan child should miss admission. We have constructed more than 10,000 classrooms for CBC,” reiterated the tough talking CS.
