Homa Bay:Man Hacks Sister-In-Law To Death For Allegedly Sending His Wife Away
Police in Rachuonyo, Homa Bay County, have launched a man hunt who hacked his sister-in-law to death at Koriw village over claims that she (deceased) sent his wife away two months ago.
Rose Atieno died on Saturday after she was attacked by the suspect with a panga inside her house.
Pius Odoyo Ayugi, the area assistant chief reported that the suspect sneaked to the deceased’s house after her husband (his brother) had gone to his workplace.
Ayugi said the suspect killed the mother of two on the spot after inflicting deep cuts on her neck as well as chopping off her left palm.
Angry neighbours are said to have gone to the suspect’s home and torched his house with all property inside after he disappeared after they learned that the suspect went hiding after the incident.
Rachuonyo South Sub County police commander Lilies Wachira confirmed the incident saying they have launched a manhunt for the suspect who is still at large.
The body of the deceased was moved to Rachuonyo South Sub County hospital mortuary.
