2022 KNEC Training for KCSE, KCPE, PTE and DTE Examiners. How to apply and Deadline.
Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will conduct training for teachers to prepare them to become examiners for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), Primary Teacher Education (PTE), Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE), Business and Technical examinations.
The training of examiners will take place in the coming months this year in various subjects in different venues situated in Nairobi.
The exact date and venue for training will be communicated to qualified applicants at a later date.
The training usually takes one week and it is purely residential for tranees.
Each applicant will be required to pay a non-refundable training fee of Ksh. 10,500 through KNEC Mpesa pay bill Number: 819313 using own registered mobile phone number.
In the application form, the applicant is required to capture the MPESA Reference.
Payment can also be made through knec Bank account where the applicant shall indicate the applicable examination i.e., KCPE; KCSE; PTE; DTE; Business or Technical
Upon training, the successful trainees will be incorporated into KNEC Examiners’ database and will be invited to mark the national examination paper they trained for.
KNEC will invite examiners using criteria for recruitment of examiners based on the needs on the subject area.
KNEC has placed all the trained Examiners in all papers in the KNEC database of examiners and therefore need not to apply for the training.

Those applying for the first time should create a KNEC CP2 Account for contracted professionals.
Application for Knec examiners training is very simple. The application is done online once knec portal is open. Knec is likely to hold training of examiners in October this year.
According to trusted sources, the deadline for application will be 25th September and training will take place 3rd and 9th October 2022.
