Teachers With CBC Upgrading Certificate To Be Employed By TSC:Here Are the Details
It has come out clearly that teachers with CBC upgrading certificates will have a better chance of being hired during the upcoming TSC July mass recruitment.
The new revelation indicates that, Primary school teachers are required to declare whether they possess a CBC Upgrade Certificate when applying for the offered positions.
Applicants must also attest to the veracity of the information in the application.

The instruction in the tsc site stated, “I am also aware that any inaccurate information may result in instant Disqualification/ Disciplinary action, without further reference to me by the Teachers Service Commission.
Applications for the July-August Mass recruitment closed officially on July 7 in the teachersonline.tsc.go.ke or the TSC website, www.tsc.go.ke, under “Careers.”
In this exercise, there won’t be any hand-written applications.
The official TSC website will be updated by July 15 with the names of the shortlisted applicants, interview dates, and locations, according to Dr. Macharia.
During the time for the interview, shortlisted candidates will be required to provide their original transcripts and licenses.The teachers ‘ employer also stated that the merit lists created would be used to fill open positions in primary schools.
The County Directors of the counties where the successful candidates were merited will let them know.
Director of Quality Assurance and Standards, Dr. Reuben Nthamburi, created a framework for teacher entry requirements last year that mandated Post Training Certificates (PTCs) for teachers with ECDE, Primary Teacher Education (PTE), and Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE) certificates in order to be certified to teach the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
As per to the Commission, teachers will be led by the CBC Learning Domains and Pedagogy, 21st century teacher education ideas and methods, andragogy and Lifelong Learning Assessment, action research, and inclusivity.
The Coaching and mentorship as well as spotting and developing learner potential are additional subjects addressed by the PTC.
After the course of the nine-month upgrade program, teachers will also receive instruction in Blending Content and Pedagogy Micro Teaching, Practicum Supervision and Assessment Reflective Teaching, and Pedagogical and Reasoning.
