Three were arrested with marked election papers
Kilgoris police have engaged three police officers to deliver marked ballots and other election materials.
Narok County Police Commander Kizito Mutoro said in a statement that the suspect was arrested at 6:30pm after members of the public escorted the vehicle and alerted them.
“The police received a call from a member of the public who said they had stopped a marked ballot at a gas station. The police rushed to the location where two police officers found a Toyota Sienta car carrying the ballot,” he said. Totoro
He said the suspect went to a gas station in Kilgoris to fill up their vehicle. He said the suspect was arrested at the Kilgoris Police Station.
Among the materials found were a voter list for Kilgoris Prison, two election results booklets, a 12-pack of presidential ballot papers and four types of 35c.
The others are five type 36c, six type 34b, seven type 39b, eight type 35b, nine type 36b, 10 type 38b, and 11 copies of work tickets for rental vehicles (2022).
“One presidential ballot box was vandalized by members of the public. The Western Transmara Regional Recovery Officer confirmed that the confiscated material belonged to the IEBC,” he said.
