Experts have revealed that teachers and parents are going to receive the lion share of the national cake in the next government.
The revelation comes following the great promises Dr William Ruto and Hon. Raila Odinga made if elected the 5th president of the republic of Kenya.
It is no a secret that Kenya will have a president elect announced in few minutes from now.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is obligated by the constitution to announce the president elect and announcement is expected any time from now.
If Ruto or Raila is declared the 5th president of Kenya, there are a number of promises each one of them made to teachers and the education industry in general.
Teachers and parents are eagerly waiting for the big announcement so that they can project on which promise they are anticipating for in the near future.
For instance Raila and his running mate Martha Karua promised the following to teachers and education sector incase they win this election.
1. Raila promised employment of all unemployed teachers
2. Raila promised free education from nursery all through to university
3. Raila promised to check and address issues raised on CBC
4. Raila promised to revamp education in North Eastern region
5. Martha Karua promised they will work closely with teachers to address their issues
On the other land Ruto William promised the following if elected the 5th president of Kenya
1. Ruto promised to hire all unemployed teachers within two years
2. Raila promised free education from nursery all through to university
3. Raila promised to check and address issues raised on CBC
3. Raila promised one free nutritious meal for ECD and lower primary classes
4. Raila promised to revamp education in North Eastern region
5. Martha Karua promised they will work closely with teachers to address their issues
6. Ruto promised to complete construction of TVET institutions
7. Ruto promised to introduce free school feeding programme in all public schools
8. Ruto promised to scrap Helb and TVET funding and introduce National Skills and Funding Council
In either side, teachers and parents are to receive the lion share of the national cake following the promises made by the two principal presidential candidates.
