Position of Head of DCI Advertised by NPS; How to Apply
The National Police Service has advertised for the post of Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
With the resignation of DCI chief George Kinoti, the commission must advise President William Ruto to appoint a new Director of Criminal Investigation.
The Board, through its Chairman, Eliud Kinuthia, has now invited interested candidates to submit their applications for consideration for the position by midnight on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

Interested candidates must submit a complete curriculum vitae, copies of relevant academic and professional transcripts and relevant documents.
A scanned copy of this document should be attached to the online application form.
All applications must be marked “Application for the post of Director of Criminal Investigation” and addressed to the Head of the National Police Service.
Manual applications should be submitted to the office of the Commission Secretary/Executive Director, 5th Floor, Skypark Plaza, and online applications should be submitted in PDF format.
Preferred candidates are expected to be Kenyan citizens with a degree from a recognized Kenyan university and at least 10 years of government service at a managerial level.
Candidates are expected to have knowledge and experience in criminal investigation or policing and relevant experience in management, law, economics, change management, finance, administration or public administration.
All applications and shortlists will be published in print media.
The position of Director of Criminal Investigation has become vacant following the resignation of George Kinoti as announced by President William Ruto on September 27.
President Ruto said he had accepted Kinoti’s resignation, paving the way for the appointment of a new DCI chief.
A similar appointment will be scheduled in the office of the Inspector General of Police after Hillary Mutyambai’s 6-month terminal leave.
President Ruto recommended that Apafet Kume be appointed pending a parliamentary inquiry.
