Mother who was accused of killing her new born baby and keeping the remains in a bucket for 3 months have been arrested.
The woman aged thirty four years was arrested and is being detained at kajiado police station. The woman is accused of killing her own baby and dumping the body in her house for more than 3 months.
The police were notified of the incident by the woman’s daughter who is fourteen years old. According to the reports by citizen digital, the girl went to the police station to Report that their house located at Majengo slums has unbearable choking smell that has made the place inhabitable.
Upon thorough inspection of the house to determine the cause of the bad oduor, the police discovered remains of a new born baby in a water bucket kept under the bed.
Confirming the incident, David Loronyokwe Kajiado Central Sub county police Commander said the mother was arrested and will be arraigned in court on Monday as police launch investigations into the unfortunate incident.
The kajiado central sub county police commander has urged parents to look for help when they are in a dire need to address their children issues instead of committing such gravious mistake.
From some reports fr a local hospital, it has been discovered that the woman gave birth in a hospital within the town on July, sixteenth this year. This means that the baby should have been three months old.
Detectives will examine the mental state of the woman to determine whether she is of sound mind or not.
