The Kenya High School Chief Principal Flora Mulatya was on Tuesday, November 22, posted to Australia as an education attaché.
Following the promotion, Mulatya was moved from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to the Public Service Commission, where she will serve as Kenya’s representative to Australia on educational matters.
“I’m yet to move to Australia because there are processes that I must still take part in,” she confirmed.
She expressed her joy and gratitude to Ruto’s administration for honouring her with the promotion.
Mulatya noted that she will miss her students, who are more like my children.Kenya High School Deputy Principal (administration) Irene Omangi has since taken over the leadership mantle of the school.
Omangi is expected to steer the school until the new Chief Principal Virginia Wahome takes over, as shall be advised by TSC.
Virginia is the current Chief Principal of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School.
Mulatya has been the Chief Principal of the school for more than eight years, during which she recorded good performance.
The Kenya High School is one of the best performing secondary schools in Kenya, in as far as national examination concerned.
Time has come when I should be serving my country in a different capacity, and I’m very happy for that opportunity,” Mulatya expressed.
