Police in Nyeri have in custody an 18-year-old Form four boy who was apprehended for sneaking into a girls’ high school to meet his ‘girlfriend’ on Monday night all dressed up like a girl in the same school.
The boy is said to be a candidate at a nearby mixed-day secondary school. He was arrested after being seen heading to the girls’ dormitory around 11pm dressed in the uniform of the girl’s school.
Students were going to sleep after night preps and when he joined the group asking the whereabouts of the ‘girlfriend’, he startled the girls.
The Form four boy was arrested by the school guards and matron, who said that the girls realised that he was not one of them due to his husky voice, said Robert Kibuchi Othaya Sub-County Police Commander.
The boy had stuffed his bosom with pieces of clothings, was wearing girls attire the full school uniform and had three condoms with a mobile phone.
According to the police commander reports, the boy alleged that he was invited to the school by his ‘girlfriend’, however, he refused to reveal the identity of the girl.
Even after being questioned the boy was adamant to disclose any information about the girl as he is trying to protect her. We are yet to confirm who invited him, said Mr. Kibuchi the police commander othaya.
The commander added that the police are suspecting that the boy might have done this before, it was not the his first time to enter the school to see his ‘girlfriend’.
Mr Kibuchi said the police were astonished by how the boy managed to be in touch with the girlfriend, since the girl has been at the boarding school for almost two months.
As the police were conducting preliminary investigations within the school vicinity, they found a broken fence at the playground and it is believed that the boy broke the fence to penetrated and access the school’s premises,”.
Though the boy studies at a day school three kilometres away, Mr Kibuchi said he lives next to the girls’ school with his family.
The police will present him in an Othaya court on Wednesday and plan to charge him with committing a felony
