The incident occurred to a fifteen year old pupil at Isinet Primary School. It so happened that on November 2021 her father invited her to their bedroom after asking her siblings to a butchery while their mother was still at work.
After being invited to the bedroom, the father grabbed her and attempted to defile her but luckily she managed to escape. However, he threatened her that he would kill her and the mother if she said anything to her about the incident.
On twenty seventh of the same month, the girl was not lucky as she said that the accused, the father, served her a cup of water which made her dizzy and tired
She went to bed only to find herself naked the following morning and her father told her to wash herself.
The girl revealed the matter to the school Head Teacher, who directed Guidance and Counseling teacher, to take over the matter and the girl was asked not to say a word about the incident to any soul because of the threats of her father.
What happened was later reported at Loitoktok Police Station and the man was arrested and arraigned in court over the incest defilement.
She was taken to Loitoktok Sub-county Hospital later where she was discovered to be pregnant.
In court the accused denied the charges, saying he was framed by the girl and another woman who wanted to have an affair with him but he refused.
However, the court found evidence that Gatimu, Gichuki and the girl corroborated well and hence prosecution had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
The accused’s case will be determined on December 7.
