TSC Reshuffled Regional and County Directors Of Education
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has reshuffled its Regional Directors (RDs) and County Directors (CDs) in what appears to be an attempt to delocalize the offices.
The Nyanza Regional Director of education, Stephen Ajanga has been transferred to North-Eastern. He will be replaced by Jane Njagi who has been serving as a regional director in Nairobi.
Coast Regional Director of education, Victoria Muoka on the other hand will be heading to Nairobi to replace Njagi. Juliet Kariuki moves to the Coast to take over from her.
Juliet Kariuki will be replaced by Elijah Omwenga who has been promoted to be the regional TSC boss. He has been the Nyeri TSC Director.
Daily News has learnt that Olendo Onono who has been the Eastern Regional Director of education has been recalled to the TSC headquarters for assignment of new duties.
Several county directors of education have also been affected by the changes from the Teachers Service Commission .
The affected CDs Joe Atwota who has been the Deputy County Director in Siaya County who has now been promoted to full County boss and deployed to Samburu County in Rift Valley.
Atwota will be taking over from Geoffrey Chemos who goes to Uasin Gishu County in similar capacity. Chemos will replace Edward Mwanthi who now moves to take charge of Laikipia County.
Mwanthi will replace Nimrod Kimathi whose fate was not immediately known.
At the time of going to press, TSC was yet to name the directors for Nyeri and Baringo.
Other changes involved some Sub-County Directors. For instance, John Paul Wepoke who was in Lugari in Kakamega County. He has been transferred to Marakwet West in similar position. Brimin Rotich who has been the SCD at Kimilili in Bungoma County has been posted to Tinderet in Nandi County.
According to the information from trusted sources more changes are expected in the coming week on a number of field offices.
