At the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) police have managed to quell protestors who had infiltrated the venue from various points in Nairobi.
Police drawn from the Administration Police and General Service Unit were also manning and patrolling the Central Business District including barricading various roads leading to State House.
At the Kenyatta Avenue, armed police in uniform were seen inspecting all Public Service Vehicles heading to the CBD.
In another area, one person has been injured within Nairobi as police engaged Azimio protestors in running battles.
One person has been seriously injured after allegedly being shot by police at the Toi Market in Kibera, Nairobi County as the Azimio la Umoja coalition protests disrupted normal operations across various major towns.
Locals who were seen helping the injured middle-aged man stated that he is a known mechanic in the area.He was lifted to a waiting motor bike and rushed to unknown location.
