Free Courses for Diploma Holders. Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has Announced Free training opportunities for Kenyans with a diploma certificate and above.
Through State Department for Labour and Skills Development, the ministry announced it had partnered with Ajira, a government programmeprogramme geared towards enhancing youth employment, to offer free courses.
The National Online Employment Skills Development Programme will be offered virtually, to equip the youth with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes.
Who are eligible for the free courses
According to the government, only Kenyan citizens with proof of citizenship are eligible for this free courses. To prove that you are a Kenyan citizen you must upload evidence during application process.
The programme is meant to empower the youth, targeting applicants between 18 and 35 years.
Apart from being a diploma holder in any field, the applicant must demonstrate proficiency in computer skills.
Requirements
Government Announce Free Courses for persons with Diploma certificate and above
Anybody interested with the courses must submit the following documents;
* Curriculum Vitae specifying their county of residence
* Copy of National Identity Card or Passport
* Copy of academic credentials or highest academic certificate
* Application letter specifying their area of interest.
The above mentioned documents should be submitted to Principal Secretary, State Department for Labour and Skills Development through email address skills@posttraining.go.ke
Deadline for submissions
The Ministry of Labour announced that the dateline for submitting applications would be on the last Monday of this month, May 29, 2023.
Part of the announcement further emphasized that women and persons with disabilities who meet the specified qualifications or requirements are encouraged to apply and those who are abled differently should indicate so in their applications.
