TSC to Start Issuing Letters to Teachers
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has begun issuing appointment letters to those who were chosen for the 13, 713 promotional positions that the Commission posted in January 2023.
The letters have already been distributed, according to many TSC County DirectorsCounty Directors and Sub-county Directors who were contacted by Education News. Deputies will receive the letters after those promoted to the post of principal.
They affirmed that all of the letters would have been distributed to successful applicants starting on June 5, 2023, inside the ensuing two weeks.

10,507 openings for head teachers and deputy head teachers were set aside by the Commission, including 2,733 T-scale 10 headmaster positions in ordinary primary schools and 32 SNE positions.
Regular primary schoolsschools had 7,720 posts for Deputy Headteacher II at T-scale 9, whereas SNE elementary schools received 22 posts.
At T-scale 10 Grade C5, this cadre of educators will be paid a minimum of Ksh62,272 and a maximum of Ksh77,840, while at T-scale 9 Grade C4, a minimum of Ksh52,308 and a maximum of Ksh65,385 will be paid.
The Commission announced 3,206 openings in secondary schools, with Chief Principals at T-scale 15 being assigned 73 postings in ordinary secondary schools and 4 slots to their counterparts in SNE secondary schools.
SNE secondary schools received 8 jobs for Deputy Principal I at T-scale 13, 17 positions for Deputy Principal II at T-scale 12, and 602 places for Principals at T-scale 13.
For Chief Principals, this group will be paid a minimum of Ksh131, 380 and a maximum of Ksh157, 656, for Principals and Deputy Principals I, a minimum of Ksh104, 644 and a maximum of Ksh125, 573, and a minimum of Ksh91, 041 and a maximum of Ksh109, 249 for those who will be appointed to be Deputy Principals II.
In conventional secondary schools, there were 244 openings for Deputy Principal III at T-scale 11, but there were only 15 positions available in SNE secondary schools. Senior Master at T-scale 11 received an additional 208 slots, and Secondary Teacher I at T-scale 8 received 1,330 jobs.
The starting monthly pay for Senior Master and Deputy Principal III will be Ksh77, 840.
