A BOM Vice-chairman On The Run After Defiling A Grade 6 And Grade 4 Pupils
A Board of Management (BOM) vice-chairman who is also a church elder and a ‘Nyumba Kumi’ official is on the run for allegedly defiling a grade 6 and grade 4 pupils.
Jefferson Lesoite has been accused of defiling and Impregnating two sisters aged 13 and 11.
The incident has been reported in Marigat Baringo County.
Report indicates that the two are sisters onein grade 6 and the other in grade 4 in Ilngarua Primary School where the suspect is BOM vice-chairman.
According to the report, the elder sister has already delivered while the younger sibling is now six months pregnant.
The ugly incident has caused uproar in the community with residents staging a demonstration to the school, demanding that the institution’s administration and board members take appropriate action against Lesoite.
The residents reported that the suspect has gone hiding after the incident was reported. The suspect is said to have taken advantage of the family’s poverty to lure the minors.
The voice of the women seeking justice for the victims has allegedly hit a dead end as local administrators have advised them to employ services of a kangaroo courts to settle the matter.
The family has since reported the matter at Marigat Police Station amid threats from suspect’s family.
The residents are calling for a total overhaul of the Marigat sub-County Children’s Department, noting that all officers have been compromised since numerous cases of defilement have gone unattended to in the area.
