A Standard Six pupil in Kakamega is in police custody after he killed a colleague over a meal of Ugali and Kunde on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
According to reports Richard Omanga -OCPD Navakholo, the deceased, 10 years, was herding his family’s cattle when he was attacked and killed by the class seven colleague.
It was also revealed the 14-year-old culprit then proceeded to dump the body of the deceased in River Simakina in Navakholo, Kakamega County.
Another report revealed that the two pupils come from the same neighbourhood.
The Standard Six pupil arrived home from school only to be told that his lunch had been consumed by his neighbour.
The 14-year-old boy is said to have gone after the 10-year-old and hit him on the head with a blunt object and he died on the spot.
Today morning when the pupil arrived at school (Friday, October 15) he informed his teachers that he had killed his colleague and dumped the body in the river.
Teachers were then led to the crime scene teachers by the boy where they found the deceased in the water.
The body was taken to Kakamega Referral and Hospital mortuary as investigations to the case starts immediately.
