Bad News; One Student Confirmed Dead As Fire Destroys A Dormitory.
A dormitory of a school in Laikipia county has been burnt down and one student is confirmed dead during the fire incident.
School fires have been increasing in the recent past as Education Ministry together with other stakeholders involved are trying up to come up with amicable solutions to minimize the menace which has rocked several boarding schools.
Panic has engulfed Thome Boys Secondary school in Laikipia, Tigithi Laikipia East with reports on fire incident in the school which has led to dead one student.
In two weeks, this is the third time is experiencing fires in the area raising further questions on the main cause behind the sudden surge in fires in the region.
The incident has come after another fire incident was reported in Ofafa Jericho High School in late September with forty students hospitalized after inhaling the smoke.
The cause of the fire has not been immediately confirmed. The investigation has been launched to establish the root cause of the fire.
