Baringo High School is a national school in Baringo County located on a 73 acre piece of land along E/Ravine – Maji-Mazuri Road in Eldama-Ravine Sub County.

In academics, the school has consistently posted an impressive mean score.

The school has a legally constituted Board of Management and an able Parent Teachers Association that aids in the management of the school.

Founded 1965 sponsored by African Inland Mission (AIM) now A.I.C. Kenya. Since then the school  has grown tremendously from a student population of  10 girls and 30 boys to the current population.

The girls were phased out in 2003 and the school is now a pure boys school.

Due to its exemplary performance, Baringo High School was elevated to national school in the county in May 2011 among others schools countrywide.

The School strives to impart an education that will enable students to become well-placed members of Kenyan society, who will shape Kenya for generations to come.

The school has a strong ethos based on values.

The school has well established infrastructure including a fully equipped modern science laboratories and modern computerlaboratory

 2021 KCSE Performance 

The school registered a total of 227 candidates in the March 2022 exam (KCSE 2021).

From this 227 candidates, the school add the following grades: 2 A (A plain), 27 A- (A minus), 47 B+ (B plus), 63 B (B plain), 63 B- (B minus), 23 C+ (C plus), 9 C (C plain), 3 C- (C minus), 1 D+ (D plus), 0 D (D plain), 0 D- (D minus), and 0 E grades.

From the individual grades, of the total candidature, 213 candidates attained C+ (plus) and above, the KUCCPS university entry grade.

From the above data, Baringo High School recorded 93.8 % pass rate in 2021 KCSE examinations.
