Belio Kipsang: Schools To Pay Fees Via e-Citizen
Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has announced that schools will start to pay fees via e-citicen.
According to Belio Kipsang, the new procedure will commence with national schools, then extra county schools and lastly county and sub-county schools.
Kipsang stated that the action will guarantee accountability in educational institutions in a January 31 circular.
The circular stated, “To enhance service delivery, the directorate of e-Citizen has been coordinating the onboarding of all government services onto the e-Citizen platform in partnership with the Information Communication Technology Authority (IOTA), Ministry of ICT, and the National Treasury.”

“Parents/guardians are required to use this platform to pay the fees for their students enrolled in your institutions in order to comply with the requirements.”
The data of the school’s bank account, including the account name, bank name, account number, bank code, and branch code, must now be provided by principals.
The deadline for submitting the details is February 6.
This directive is being implemented for the first time by this government.
