Police are carrying out investigation on an incident where some body parts allegedly belonging to a woman who has been missing were found buried at neighbor’s compound in Ikolomani constituency, Kakamega County.
Fabian muteshi found the remains of the body when he was digging out some soil for use in his new house.
Mr. Fabian Muteshi who lives in Kitengela in Kajiado County, had travelled to the village with the family to go and put up a house discover a human skull and bones buried in his compound while he was harvesting soil to be used in the new home.
Shocked by the discovery, Mr. Fabian Muteshi immediately informed his neighbours, before reporting the matter to the police.
Fabian narrated that he was harvesting mud-soil for putting up his new house, when he unfortunately found the human skull with some other body parts. He was scared like never before.
In the meantime, the family of mzee Paul Lisiolo has identified the body as that of their daughter 37-year-old Rosa Kamoya who went missing last year in September.
Lisiolo said his daughter disappeared last year, while in the company of her two sisters in Shibuname, a nearby village and they have been looking for her since that day.
Mr. Lisiolo father to the deceased added that after seeing the body he was sure that it was that of her daughter.
Sister to the deceased who has been identified as Esther Khavukwi claims that they reported the disappearance of their sister at Musoli police post, where suspects were arrested but were released soon afterwards.
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations sought a court order to exhumed the body parts which they obtained.
A postmortem will be done at the Kakamega county General Hospital to a certain the cause of her death.
