Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa accused of killing opponent’s aide.
Kimilili Member of Parliament (MP) has been accused of killing his opponent’s aide.
Dismus Barasa is said to have shot Brian Khaemba’s aide Brian Olunga in the forehead where he bled to death.
The matter was reported at Kimilili Police Station where Khaemba recorded a statement.
According to a police report, Khaemba is said to have argued with Barasa at Chebukwabi polling station where he (Khaemba) had gone to witness vote counting.
“Upon entering the said polling station, he met Hon. Didmus Barasa the incumbent MP for Kimilili constituency.
“After about three minutes, Mr. Brian Khaemba decided to leave the station and headed to his car where Hon. Didmus Barasa followed him in the company of four men and ordered them not to allow him (Mr. Brian Khaemba) to leave the place but Mr Khaemba’s driver Joshua Nasokho defied the order and ignited the vehicle,” the report read in part.
Elsewhere several people have been reported injured after political disagreement.
