Buruburu Girls on Fire. Check Details for the cause and injuries.
Today in the afternoon fire broke out in Buruburu Girls high school in Nairobi. The fire engulfed a storey building sending the students who were in the dormitory into panic.
Several Videos are circulating on-line which are believed to have taken from the school showing how the girls were trying to escape from the scene through the windows.
The fire brigade arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to try to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire at Buruburu Girls dormitory is yet to be Known after through investigations are conducted by the relevant authorities.
As reported by the standard, a number of students were rushed to the metropolitan hospital within the area. The exact number of the students rushed to hospital was not disclosed.
Whether the students sustained serious injuries or not is yet to be confirmed.
Fire outbreaks are becoming rampant on this term of the academic calendar. Causes are yet to be disclosed.
The schools reported to have been burnt include; Nyamagwa Boys in Kisii County, Sigalame Boys in Busia county, Butula Girls in Butula sub county and the latest school being Moi High School Kabarak.
Three weeks ago Thome Boys secondary school in tigithi Laikipia East was engulfed in panic after fire incident which claimed the life of one student.
