The previous Makueni County Director of Education, Mr. Gachuki, has taken over for Magiri.
The outgoing Mombasa County Director of Education has requested that all county stakeholders in education and county citizens collaborate fully and give his successor the support he needs to carry out his duties in a more effective and efficient manner.
In different news some school Principals have been transferred in the latest changes. Just one day after Friends Bulupi Secondary School students in Malava Sub County protested at the education offices over the dismissal of the school’s principal, which they attributed to the chairman of the board of management, new developments have come to light.
According to documents we have on hand, the principal voluntarily requested a transfer from the TSCTSC.
TSC acknowledged receiving Mr. Ongaka’s letter this month requesting a transfer and responding to it.
He was to be transferred with immediate effect to St. Michael’s Emakhwa Secondary School in Kakamega County, under the commission’s decision.
In addition, he was instructed in the letter from the regional TSCTSC director in charge of Western to turn the school over to Mr. Martin Waswa, the new principal from St. Thomas Nanderema Boys in Busia.
Further, it instructed the departing Principal to succeed Emoit Peter Etyang, who was likewise informed of the changes by the commission.
In addition, David Mbaka’s appointment as the new principal of Magena Boys High School in Kisii County has been warmly received by the students’ parents.
The parents said that the principal had arrived at a good moment because the academic levels at the school were dropping.
Zachary Rabago, who was transferred to Mwongori Secondary School in Nyamira County, will be replaced by Mbaka.
