TSC has carried out transfers and promotions of senior officials at headquarters and in the field.
The changes were caused by departures due to the retirement of former office holders and the need to increase service delivery.
The chief staffing officer at the Commission, was moved to the less visible field service to replace Mary Rotich who retired earlier this year.
Antonina, who was her deputy, is now acting on the office pending a substantial appointment. Staffing personnel is the most influential department in the Commission Secretariat.
Ms. Wahome, a former county TSC director, has had several confrontations with her employer. Last year, she was suspended for some time under unclear circumstances, but she was later reinstated.
She was head of staff, but insiders say she was not very visible in her duties as her boss was deemed to prefer to work with her Deputy.
The changes also saw the reshuffling of several county directors, deputy directors and sub-county directors as others were banned.
Kakamega County Director was transferred to Baringo to replace James Nyakweba, who retired earlier this year.
Until recently, Everlyne Kinaka, who was Nyakweba’s deputy, had acted as director. However, her hopes of being confirmed on her position were dashed following her interdiction after she was trapped in a scandal involving a questionable teacher-recruiting exercise in Tiaty’s subcounties.
Two sub-county directors of the region were also banned on the same charges. The officers affected are Juma (Tiaty West) and Jared (Tiaty East).
Dr Esther Njiru, Siaya TSC County Director, has been relocated to Taita-Taveta County to replace recently retired Peter Mugo.
Aneriko Maloba, who was the director of the Tana River, was transferred to Siaya to replace Njiru.
David Gutu, who served as deputy director Makueni, was promoted to full-fledged director and assigned to the head of Tana-River County after Maloba’s relocation.
Margaret Kamau, transferred to Embu after serving briefly at migori station.
Her replacement is Ann Wawuda, who has been promoted from Matungulu Sub-County in Machakos County to a County Director.
Kamau will replace Margaret Kinyanjui who has been transferred from Embu to Kakamega.
Kisii director Jane Mwaniki has been transferred to Kitui to replace Solomon Odipo, who has since retired, while Ms. Anne Wachira, who served as Machakos director, is taking over from Mwaniki.
Turkana director Lewis Mutegi has now been transferred to Machakos to replace Ms. Wachira while Florence Momanyi, who was Kakamega’s deputy director, has been promoted and assigned to Isiolo.
Isiolo County Director Mr. Wachira has been transferred to Lamu.
Ali Hussein, who was also deputy director of Mombasa County and also director of the Mvita sub-county, was promoted and sent to Turkana to replace Mutegi.
Hussein will be replaced by Caren Achieng Onthoro, who was the sub-director of Kakamega East County.
Sammy Loitakol, who was the deputy director of Laikipia County, was promoted and now heads to Marsabit as the new county director. He takes the place of Russel Wafula, who was recently banned.
Wafula is currently involved in a case involving the questionable sale of vehicle parts at its former station in Nyandarua County.
Other deputy county directors have also been moved among them, the deputy director of Turkana Wilfred Mosigisi who swapped places with a certain Solomon Buyela from Nandi.
At the same time, Francis Saina was transferred from Vihiga to Migori as deputy director to replace James Biego, who recently retired.
