Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui’s administration has employed over 305 ECDE teachers on permanent and pensionable basis.
Kinyanjui, who spoke at the Nakuru County headquarters where he was the governor issued job letters to the newly recruited ECDE teachers, said the teachers would be distributed to all ECDE public schools in the eleven sub counties within the county.
“We aim to deploy at least two ECDE teachers in every government primary school. They will pay the Teachers well to ensure that they do their jobs efficiently,” he said.
He advises teachers to practice their profession well and major on service delivery.
At the beginning of the year, the government hired 372 teachers and placed them in 11 sub counties.
He highlighted his achievements in the education sector and said his government had built 305 ECDE classrooms and renovated old classrooms.
“Also, we have delivered 708 classes and bought more than 17,000 chairs and 2,833 desks to help students and teachers during the study period,” he said.
Kinyanjui said his government has also implemented a feeding program that has increased the number of students in all districts.
