Kakamega County Government will sponsor Otieno Lewis Omondi Glen through his secondary education, Governor Fernandes Barasa has announced.
Otieno who sat his examinations at St. Peters Mumias Boys Primary in Kakamega county emerged top of the just-released KCPE results. He scored 431 marks out of the possible 500.
Speaking after the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the KCPE results, Governor Barasa congratulated St. Peters Mumias Boys Primary for placing Kakamega county on the national map and for producing a joint top candidate in the national examinations.
“Good academic results are a result of deliberate efforts from teachers, parents, learners and the community. Congratulations St. Peters Mumias Boys Primary for placing Kakamega County on the National map, by producing the best student.
It was a pleasure joining you for the celebrations. The County Government of Kakamega will sponsor the top student, Otieno Lewis Omondi Glen, through his Secondary Education,” the county head posted.
