County to Employ 3000 Youths Next Month. The county boss has announced that they will employ the youths in order to reduce the issues of unemployment in the county.
Kakamega County has announced the massive employmentemployment that aims at Curbing unemployment of the youths in the area.
Speaking yesterday during the burial of Hamisi Muganda, Governor Fernandes Barasa said three thousand youths drawn from the sixty wards in the county will be recruited from next month. Each ward will be given fifty slots.
Governor Barasa said that all youths will be considered for the recruitment including those who do not have any qualifications. He said that even those who have birth certificates only they will be able to work with the county government for one year.
The Youths who will get the employment will be on contract for one year after which their contract will end so that others can also get an opportunity in the following years, Governor Barasa added.
The vacancies include road maintenance, sentry services, bush cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems. Others are office support services. CountyCounty to Employ 3000 Youths Next Month.
Ayub Savula, the Deputy Governor, who was also present at the funeral, said youth from poor families would be given priority during recruitment.
Hamisi, who perished in a car crash, was party leader for the Maendeleo Democratic party leader.
