Speaking in Khwisero constituency in Kakamega on Saturday, Atwoli noted that their discussions touched on the pertinent issues on national matters that concern Kenyans.
He further added that they ironed out their political differences that stemmed from the fierce nationwide campaigns and agreed to work together under the current administration.

“The president received me well and we shared many light moments. I even admitted that I once said that trees need to be cut in Sugoi.
Atwoli further intimated that President Ruto welcomed the mandate of the opposition of checking and balancing the government.
He noted he agrees that the opposition must be strong and continue to do what it is supposed to do.
He went on to add that they deliberated on how the government can collect revenue from precarious employment, which mainly constitutes workers employed in non-permanent jobs.
The government is not collecting tax from outsourced labor neither are they paying NSSF and NHIF insurance.
They also discussed on Kenya’s ratification of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)’s Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (C190), which was adopted in June 2019 to recognize the right of everyone to a world of work free from violence and harassment, including gender-based violence and harassment.
