Education CS Has Exposed Schools Registering Ghost Candidates
The Ministry of Education CS has exposed schools registering ghost candidates in the Kenya Certificate of Primary School Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary (KCSE).
This comes when the ministry of education under the leadership of Professor George Magoha changed the examination centres for some candidates.
The schools with less than 30 students will have to sit for their national examinations in their neighbouring schools as their exams centres.
However, it has been revealed that some schools especially private schools had registered ghost candidates to maintain their centres. These schools do get the minimum number of students required in an examination centre.
On the same note the Kenya National Examination Council this week announced shutting down 162 examination centres. The 162 centres had registered less than forty (40) candidates in the two national examinations for the 2021 academic year.
The only concern after the closure of the 162 centres is where these students will come from during the exams. This could also reveal some loopholes in the impersonation of the students.
This move to reduce exam centres will be a big challengefor the candidates especially for schools that are not so close to one another.
The Government has this time trained the KCPE and KCSE examiners on time in preparation for the timely marking of the two national examinations.
