Education CS professor Magoha Has Delivered Good News To KCSE 2020 Students Planning To Transfer Universities.
Ministry of Education CS has today delivered good news to students wishing to transfer universities during his speech while releasing 2021/2022 students placement results at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) in Nairobi.
Professor Magoha directed KUCCPS to conduct an inter-university or inter-college transfer and inter-course transfer process. This move will help students to go to the university of their choice and their preferred courses if need be.
Agnes Wahome, the KUCCPS reported that of the total students that are set to pursue degrees and TVET courses, 128,073 have been placed in different universities to pursue degree courses while 137,072 will join TVET institutions.
CS Magoha also highlighted that there is a new trend that has been noted where students who qualify for university admission are opting for TVET courses. For instance of the students who attained C+ and above in the 2020 KCSE, 6,617 preferred TVET courses.
Additionally, Magoha advised teachers to closely guide learners on career choices based on their area of strength.
