Many politicians have challenged the Kenya Kwanza leadership over the KCSE results that were released on Friday.
On Saturday, Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando wa Kabando claimed that the 2022 KCSE results should be nullified.
Ezekiel Machogu Education Cabinet Secretary while releasing the 2022 KCSE results said there were no cheating. The Cabinet Secretary said the administration of the 2022 exams for secondary education was clean and that the Ministry of Education devised different mechanisms to eliminate cheating.
Among the devised mechanisms as he stated was transfering accountability to personal level where the centre manager will be personally accountable for any irregularities. Forms were designed where security personnel manning the exams would sign how things unveiled during the administration of the exams.
However, the former MP kabondo wa kabondo said the statistics released by CS Machogu on a particular region was not adding up. In the particular regions the curve was abnormal it does not reflect the parameters for a real classroom.
Majority of these schools have their curves skewed to above avarage. The least candidates posting a mean of B(plain). This does not always happen in a normal classroom environment.
Kabando has further called for the disbandment of the Kenya National Examinations Council and an audit should be conducted. All the KNEC officials should go home, he said.
East African Legislative Assembly Member of Parliament Kanini Kega also claimed that the just released results were a major joke.
Azimio spokesperson Makau Mutua has also challenged the government to nullify the results and order for a re-sit of the 2022 KCSE exams.
